2011 Learn-to-Row Information
RMRC will be providing Learn-to-Row Lessons for the 2011 season.
Schedule of Sessions:
Session 1: April 8-10 (erg and sweep) and April 16-17 (sculling) Session 2: April 29-May 1 (erg and sweep) and May 7-8 (sculling) Session 3: May 13-15 (erg and sweep) and May 21-22 (sculling) Session 4: June 3-5 (erg and sweep) and June 11-12 (sculling) Session 5: June 17-19 (erg and sweep) and June 25-26 (sculling)Sessions will be given on two consecutive weekends. The first weekend will begin with an informational session on Friday, which will include getting on the erg and learning some basics. The Friday night session will be held at the Colorado Athletic Club on Monaco from 7:00-9:00 pm (see address below). Saturday and Sunday morning the class will meet from 7:00-9:00 am at the RMRC boathouse (directions below) for sweep lessons on the water. The following weekend sculling lessons will be given at the boathouse on Saturday and Sunday morning from 7:00-9:00 am.
Class Size:
Classes will be limited to 6 students per class. You may sign up for the session of your choice by selecting it either from the Learn-to-Row menu at the top of the web site or from the calendar schedule on the right side bar of the web site. Add your name to the list and click on the "registration" link located in the information to access the registration form. If there are 6 students in the session, it will be marked "full." We will maintain a wait list in case of cancellations.
Class Cost:
The cost for lessons is $250 per person, payable via Paypal when you register. Because seating is limited your place in the class is not guaranteed until payment has been received. Registrations will be canceled after 24 hours without payment. You will be asked to sign a release of liability waiver and a swim attestation prior to participating in this class.
Please note that you will need a park pass to enter Cherry Creek State Park. A daily pass can be purchased at the park gate house. You also buy an annual pass at the park gate house, King Soopers, or online.
Those completing the Learn to Row Program who wish to go on and become members of Rocky Mountain Rowing Club will receive $150 off of the price of membership.
